Visual artist

Using light as my primary medium, I create colorful photograms, a traditional and entirely analog photographic process without the use of a camera. Inside the darkroom, light-sensitive paper is directly exposed to light in different colors before it is processed through standard color chemistry with developing, fixing, and washing. Working inside this pitch-black environment requires that the work is carefully prepared in advance, and that the process is rehersed and remembered like a carefully choreographed dance. However, the final result will always be a compromise between my ideas and thoughts, the nature and will of light, and 'happy accidents'. By using the photographic process to capture the vision of the mind, I produce works that transcend traditional photography, offering the viewer a glimpse into the hidden realms of existence. Influenced by my parallell career as a clinical psychologist, and drawing on my knowledge of human mental processes and behavior, I often explore fundamental existential questions, the complexity of the human mind, and the interplay between conscious and unconscious realms using a language of forms, shapes, and colors, that, I believe, speaks directly to our emotions, senses, and memories. To me, each photogram becomes a reflection on the passage of time, on the transience of existence, while simultaneously celebrating the beauty in the temporary and the finite. Through my photograms, I aim to awaken our senses to the mysteries that surrounds us, and I invite you to explore your own psychological landscapes, and to be curious about the hidden aspects of your own inner world.
